People Operations Manager

Evolving Web is growing! We’re looking for a People Operations Manager to help our expanding team. This role will be the bridge between the HR and Operations team and responsible for maintaining our personnel data integrity and internal systems. This role is perfect for someone who likes to build relationships and processes, someone who is comfortable with not having all the answers but the drive to figure things out, and especially someone who is constantly thinking about how they can improve the things around them. Note that regular visits to the office are mandatory, we will only be considering recruiting applicants in Montreal.

Every day will look a little different, but expect to:

People Operations

  • Oversee a mix of day-to-day operations, initiatives, and projects in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Assist in building our HR and Operations teams to deliver on people agenda and goals in a high growth environment
  • Partner with the Operations team to set operational rhythms and service delivery standards, as well as ensuring they are consistently met or exceeded by the team
  • Lead operational and HR bridge functions and programs such as talent development and talent analytics

People Development

  • Manage recruitment cycle, including identifying, engaging, and evaluating candidates for review by our hiring managers
  • Use data to map, review, and make recommendations to leadership and HR team about how to improve recruitment and retention efforts
  • Assist with fine-tuning our hiring strategy, including sourcing, pipeline management, and recruitment efforts
  • Partner with HR and Operations to develop talent retention and succession plans at Evolving Web
  • Oversee projects such as professional development training, competency frameworks, and performance evaluations
  • Acting as main point of contact for any internal and external audits

People Data

  • Acting as main point of contact for any internal and external audits
  • Manage and maintain personnel data integrity, including compensation and benefits, payroll, and performance management information

Requirements

  • An ability to maintain a high level of discretion, confidentiality, and good judgment
  • 5+ years working in an operations and/or HR capacity
  • Experience in a technical agency, marketing agency, or startup environment
  • Experience working with multinational and diverse teams
  • Ability to speak and translate the worlds of HR and tech
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and an understanding of the agency world
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Workable, and other Applicant Tracking Software tools
  • You are curious, passionate, sincere, and empathetic. People always come first.

Our perfect candidate also has:

  • Fluency in French and English (Arabic, Spanish, or Russian also an asset!)
