Content Strategist (Remote)
Are you passionate about developing engaging content for organizations that make a positive impact in the world? Do you have exceptional writing and research skills? If so, we want to meet you! Evolving Web is looking for a passionate content strategist to work on client projects.
In your role as Content Strategist, you will be expected to:
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to learn about their goals and content needs and provide recommendations
- Develop content strategies to help grow our clients’ audiences through evergreen and lead generating content
- Provide content assessments and audits and collaborate with user experience designers to develop an overall strategy
- Provide guidance on tone and voice and create content style guides
- Plan, write, and edit compelling content to distribute across various platforms
- Create, review, and edit copy and help coordinate content production
- Adapt copy to various channels, such as websites, social media platforms, emails, ad campaigns, and more
- Align with the keyword strategy and optimize content for SEO
Requirements
What kind of skill set do you need to be successful in your role within the Evolving Web community?
- At least 5 years of experience in content strategy and writing
- Degree in communications, marketing, journalism or comparable industry experience
- Excellent communication, research, and writing skills
- Demonstrated experience working directly with clients and design teams
- Attention to detail, flow and grammar
- Experience in optimizing content for search engines
- Agency experience
- Ability to develop impactful messages and to adapt them for various audiences and media
- Established portfolio of work
